Employment eligibility

 

Eligible employment applicants for all positions at AXIS must fully complete an application (incomplete applications will be automatically rejected).  Job requirements for all positions include the ability to read, understand and write in English, proof of eligibility to work (citizenship status, work permit status, etc.), the ability to lift 50 pounds, proof of freedom from tuberculosis; COVID vaccine, a valid driver's license and excellent driving record.

Successful applicants will be required to attend several days of orientation and training before starting a regular schedule.  All employees are required to successfully complete, CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration training.

Direct Support Staff

Direct Support staff assist individuals with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, mobility, therapeutic supports, community access, medication administration and individual program plan implementation.   

We have a variety of work locations throughout the Twin Cities and offer positions working days, evenings, overnights and weekends.  

Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license, excellent driving record and show proof of freedom from tuberculosis.

 

Nursing

For individuals requiring a more intensive health care plan, nurses conduct nursing interventions and also function as a member of the care team, assisting individuals with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, mobility, therapeutic supports, community access, medication administration and individual program plan implementation.
